Anniversary Ale – Gordy’s Walkabout

This wheat beer uses thirty lbs. of blueberries but thankfully is still beer first. Quaky Isle and Aussie Hops make this one wicked neat beer.  At 6.3% ABV this is a cracking pint for quaffing and then a walkabout.

Ataxia Tripel

This is a Tripel. You’ve been warned, and maybe warmed. Alcoholic sweetness balanced by high carbonation, a touch of ginger and coriander. Yummy. Herbal, spice and citrus notes. Dangerously easy to drink!

Bollocks Bayard Black IPA

Black as night, Damn near chewy, roasted bread… Dutch cocoa, Cuban coffee, charred prunes and cordial cherries. Finish continues for days. Boom ABV 6%

Double Lloyd Oatmalt Stout

Blacker than midnight, bold roasted flavor with a viscous oat malt derived oiliness.. Dark toasted bread, Guatemalan coffee, cocoa, blackened raisins and a long finish, but eminently drinkable.  ABV 7.2%

Effing E.S.M.

Extra Special Mild, we like our milds very special and very mild and maybe a little wild. Classic Yorkshire beer, all Brit ingredients, very smooth and mouth filling, nice malt down the middle, but clean and somewhat herbal finish. Lovely spot-on pint served through a sparkler. ABV 5.8%

Emma Chisit

About three and a quarter quid, I think. A blend of English and Flemish pale malts with a hefty addition of New Zealand late hopping (herbal, fruity white grape skin notes) make this one wicked neat beer. At 4.5% this is a cracking pint for quaffing and then a walkabout

Fool’s Gold

Fragrant, very much so. Straw colored, pillowy head and tons of earthy, spicy citrus notes, clean and crisp on the end. Being a Belgian Saison, makes this beer about more than a balance of malt and hops, the third element of fruity, floral and funky. Crafted and named by Ian (he’ll accept all comments) Nicely drinkable at 5.7% ABV

Green Gaberlunzie

Fools gather round. We may be feckit but we’ll stand a round with this sexy IPA beastie. The hop schedule is straight from the Left Coast with Simcoe, CTZ and Cascade leading the charge. Assertive, grapefruit zest bitterness, a little piney with a balanced dose of light English Carastan. Lovely at ABV 7.2%

HEAD SKULL MIND BEER

Think of Vermont as a beer style. This Double IPA uses the Vermont (Conan) yeast, U.K. malts and four American and one U.K. hop variety, massively. Tons of light fruits, apple and peach drops, a bit zesty in the finish. ABV 7%

Heady Danker

Don’t IPA me I’ll IPA you! This is a sour, a Belgian and a bit Yank, and a little dank. Lorries full of hops in this one, Citra and Simcoe, pucker up mate. ABV 6.5%

Jammy Bastard Pale Ale

What makes this beer Jammy is the all English malt bill, Maris Otter for the base and a dash of Carastan for toastyness. Add an abundance of American hops for a citrusy edge and we’re there. At 4.5% ABV you might just find yourself under the affluence on incahol.

Kennett Pride

What can be said of a beer so beery? Kennett Pride was truly developed “In the Woods by Men of Science” The malt, the hops, the water and the process all balanced on the fine edge of British and American brewing tradition. Ripe orange tannins, spicy hops, grainy drying on the finish. Awesomely drinkable! ABV 5.2%

Kennett-Hell Brau

Jetzt trinken wir wirklicht bier. (we’re really drinking beer now). Pale, clean, and bright as can be, toasty bread,malt forward with low bitterness but enough alcohol to inspire. 5.2%

Mighty Suskey Belgian Saison

Citrus, some piney esters, Saisonish pepper and spiciness, possibly some hop and alcohol derived sweetness but surprisingly quaffable!
With an ABV of 8.5% please resist the urge to operate anything.

Mighty Susqy Saisonaire

Citrus, some piney esters, Saisonish pepper and spiciness, elderberry and blackberry, but surprisingly quaffable! With an ABV of 6.7% please resist the urge to operate anything.

O’Zapft

Traditionally the same as a Martzen for spring but made to mark the onset of fall. Touches of biscuit and bready malt surrounded by an aroma that’s quite rich. this Oktoberfest has some lingering bitterness to offset the Vienna and Pils malt sweetness. Wir trinken bier. A.B.V. 7.2%

Ploughman Milk Stout

This is our first Milk Stout. The recipe is an agglomeration of historical London grist bills with English brown malt for a burnt cookie chocolate note, with the English ale yeast yielding a stone fruit, figgy flavor. Made velvety and rich with lactose but eminently  sessionable. Recommended for general family use where a Pale Ale is not required. ABV 5.5%

Ploughman Porter

Word has it, Porter is the original ale. The recipe is an agglomeration of historical London grist bills with English brown malt for a burnt cookie chocolate note, with the English ale yeast yielding a stone fruit, figgy flavor. Smooth, rich, but sessionable finish. Recommended for general family use where a Pale Ale is not required. ABV 6.1%

Posh Bracer Stout

Stop dithering about. This beer will brace you up directly. Chocolate, mocha and cocoa, blackened raisins and a long finish, very black, but eminently drinkable. Finishes warm but not hot in the least. ABC 9.4%

Rooibos Saison

Slight sourness, some piney esters, Saisonish pepper and spiciness, possibly some alcohol derived sweetness with a hint of ginger and some Rooibos (red bush) nuttiness.  Surprisingly quaffable! With an ABV of 7.7% please resist the urge to operate anything

Roselle Saisonniere

Slight sourness, some piney esters, Saisonish pepper and spiciness, possibly some alcohol derived sweetness with a hint of ginger, but surprisingly quaffable! With an ABV of 7.2% please resist the urge to operate anything.

Rye Emma Chisit

Solie Citironere

Son of Wee Wobbly Scottish 100 Schilling

This deep crimson colored scotch ale has a dark caramel note only possible with a traditional Scottish 4-hour boil. A moderate hop schedule reveals a complex flavor profile reminiscent of dark fruit and toast.  Scottish Golden Primrose malt lends a lighter sweetness as well.  Succulent finish. ABV 5.6%

The Kidd

What you’re looking at is a sexy little number that would rank right up there with the best of the English Pale Ales. Crisp and creamy. Simple, elegant. Candied pears, spice drops, hay and a bit of honeyed biscuits, clean, dry with a mouth-filling stone fruit notes. Not exceedingly bitter but loads of flavor. ABV 5.6%

The XX Kidd

What you’re looking at is a sexy little number that would rank right up there with the best of the English Pale Ales. Crisp and creamy. Simple, elegant. Candied pears, spice drops, hay and a bit of honeyed biscuits, clean, dry with a mouth-filling stone fruit notes. Not exceedingly bitter but loads of flavor.

Vilshofen Pilsner

Named for the hometown of the Bavarian brew master Josef Groll, this pilsner starts spicy, floral with sweet Pilsen malt in the front, gently tannic in the middle and then dry smooth and refreshingly bitter towards the end. Gentlemen, Start your lawnmowers! ABV 6%

Wee Wobbly Scottish 80

Wiley Rye IPL

This beer is big. Loads of citrusy hops with a clean lager yeast and fermentation to clean the palate bringing the hop flavor and aroma forward. Although dry the finish is surprisingly silky with a little spicy blast from the Rye malt. ABV 8.0%

Wiley Rye IPA

This beer is big.  Loads of citrusy hops with a clean ale yeast and low fermentation temps to fill the palate bringing the hop flavor and aroma forward.  Although dry, the finish is surprisingly silky with a little spicy blast from the Rye malt.  ABV 7.4%

ßTICK KÖLSCH

Classic summer beer from Cologne, refreshing, easy drinking and not too high in alcohol. All German pilsner malt with a touch of Vienna so the dryness is not too pronounced. Gentle persons, start your lawn mowers.
